Broadfork

This professional broadfork (grelinette) is designed for market gardeners and small-scale vegetable farms. It forms part of our standardized 75 cm permanent-bed system: its 65 cm working width allows growers to loosen the main growing area in a single pass along the bed, while the same bed standard is used across our planting and weeding tools. Instead of turning or inverting the soil with a rotary tiller, the broadfork deeply loosens and aerates compacted ground while leaving soil layers largely intact. This improves water infiltration and supports deeper root growth while minimizing disturbance to soil structure and soil life. It is well suited to organic and regenerative market gardening, including no-dig and low-till systems.

The five 30 cm laser-cut tines have a flat profile designed to penetrate compacted ground efficiently, including heavier clay soils. The welded head is protected against corrosion and designed for repeated field use.

The broadfork comes complete with premium hornbeam wooden handles, selected for strength, durability, and a comfortable grip. The two-handle design allows growers to use body weight and leverage, helping reduce strain on the back and shoulders during repeated bed preparation.

Developed through real field use, the broadfork is built as a long-term working tool for growers who prepare permanent beds season after season.
